PuzzleBee ("we", "us", or "our") is a mobile app for jigsaw puzzle collectors. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the PuzzleBee app.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account or use the app:

• Account information: Your email address (used for sign-in), display name, and username.
• Profile data: Optional avatar photo, bio, and weekly puzzle goals.
• Collection data: Puzzles you add to your collection, solve times, and solve sessions.
• Puzzle submissions: If you submit an unrecognized puzzle for review, we collect the title, brand, piece count, description, and any photos you attach.
• Social data: Information about users you follow or invite to collaborative solves.
• Support tickets: If you submit a bug report or support request through the app, we collect the subject and body of your message.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the PuzzleBee app and its features.
• Display your profile and collection to other users as described in your privacy settings.
• Send transactional emails such as sign-in codes (we do not send marketing emails without your consent).
• Review puzzle submissions to grow the public database.
• Respond to support requests and bug reports.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted backend service. We use Row-Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own private data. Private and pending-review puzzles are never visible to other users without your explicit approval.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

PuzzleBee uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (Privacy Policy)
• Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — optional sign-in methods
• Open Food Facts API / Barcode lookup APIs — used to look up puzzle information by UPC barcode; no personal data is sent

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@puzzlebee.app. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.

Children's Privacy

PuzzleBee is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of PuzzleBee after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
